Devon Flynn, CSCS
Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Utica University, originally from Red Hook, NY… I graduated from Red Hook High School in 2020, then went on to Hudson Valley Community College, where I earned my A.S. in Exercise Science and played both football and basketball. After that, I transferred to Utica University, played three seasons with the men’s basketball team, and earned my B.S. in Exercise and Wellness Studies with a focus in Exercise Science. Along the way, I was fortunate to be part of two Empire 8 Championship teams.

I’ve been with SPI for the past six months, building strong relationships with athletes and gym members. Coming from the Nate Fredsell coaching tree, I bring that same energy and standard to every training session. I fully dedicate myself to my athletes and the work we put in together, and I expect the same in return.

I played AAU basketball from 3rd–11th grade, and basketball through all four years of college. I also played tackle football from kindergarten through my freshman year of college... I bring everything I’ve learned from my own playing career to my coaching, and I’m excited to keep pushing athletes to reach their potential.
When I’m not in the gym, I’m usually playing below average golf, or on a hike somewhere with my dog.
